      A great boomer shooter that stands should for shoulder with the likes of Hexen, Quake and Doom. I really enjoy the games sound design, weapons and art.

      For the fans of Hexen and Heretic it's a worthwhile modernized take on the formula, but it gets a while to get going and the action is pretty middling when compared to the other games of the genre.

      Amid Evil is a lot of fun, it really goes back to channel all the old classics like Doom and Hexen. Runs smooth and fast. It can get rather challenging on the higher difficulties especially if you are an old fart like me. I ran into a boss one time unprepared and got absolutely mashed. 10/10 would die horribly again.
