Worked like a charm for me. I wanted to relieve the original Evil Genius, after seeing some videos online. I've been a big fan of base/city building games like Dungeon Keeper, Cities Skylines, Rollercoaster Tycoon. And the premise of Evil Genius just oozes of that 60s spy vibe. The artstyle and colors kinda remind me of The Incredibles as well. In any case, great old game that's only major setback is the amount of time you just spend waiting for your minions to do their job. But it's a good way to spend a chill Sunday. Definitely recommended, and for 2 bucks you can hardly go wrong. P.S.: Also funny enough, the 2nd part got announced shortly after I played the first one. Couldn't help myself and got that too, and it sadly suffers the same problem with being a big time sink for hardly any big gameplay changes at some point. Still very fun to build and decorate your dream evil lair though. Not enough innovation, atleast when directly comparing the two.

To be honest, I bought and activated a key 1+ year ago, at the release of the game, so this is a late late review....but still everything was as promised, worked like a charm. Thumbs up.

I bought this product for my husband and he loves it. He loved the original so I wanted to surprise him with the sequel and I was glad to be able to give him that experience, the graphics are great and the performance is more than adequate, they made changes from the original to make the sequel more in depth.
