I’ve played Bellwright and Medieval Dynasty before, so I went into SENGOKU Dynasty with expectations. At first, I was disappointed: The environment and graphics felt underwhelming compared to MD. Combat was clunky – like fighting a bouncing flea. There were noticeable lags. I felt frustrated, thinking I’d wasted my money. But over time, the game grew on me. It has a strong atmosphere, a unique color palette, and a deep village system. It’s more streamlined and convenient than MD, which I actually appreciate. Overall, I value it above both Bellwright and MD. It’s an engaging slow-burn game. I don’t rush to kill Bosses – what’s a samurai without personal rivals? I avoid fast travel (this isn’t Star Trek!) and roam in stylish clothes (no armor – one mistake, and even a common deserter can finish you). I hold one region while the rest of the map remains dangerous and hostile. Sometimes I take out a gang or two belonging to some Boss, bowing respectfully as I leave. In short, SENGOKU Dynasty is immersive, deliberate, and wonderfully slow-paced – definitely not about building Tokyo.
