Barbarroja recreates the entire period of war between Germany and Russia (1941 - 1945), for it uses units (chips) at the level of Army Corps and Armies, representing the historical units that intervened in this war. The game allows you to do it in a single computer (hot chair) by turns or partial shifts, or you can play on the Internet or Local Network, in three modes, by turns, partial turns or in real time.
In the turn-based mode, each player completes the movement and combat of all the units he wishes during his turn
In the partial turn mode, each player performs a limited number of moves, passing the control to the opposing player.
