THE LAST PORTRAIT is a horror adventure centered around the mansion Ashwood Manor. In the villa lived the famous art collector Edgar Ashwood with his wife, surrounded by his impressive collection. But then his lawyer receives a strange letter: Ashwood writes of his own death — and asks him to burn Ashwood Manor to the ground. Will you manage to get into the house? Can you venture deeper and deeper into the estate and discover what happened in the old villa? And in the end, will Ashwood Manor let you leave again?
Edgar Ashwood was an eccentric but extremely successful art collector and art historian. After purchasing the old estate, he transformed Ashwood Manor into a private gallery full of rare works. In 1952, he married the young Isadora Vale, an aspiring painter from Florence. At first, the two led a publicly admired artistic life — she was beautiful, creative, and gentle; he was cultured, mysterious, and wealthy. But in the late 1960s, Isadora vanished without a trace. Edgar withdrew from public life and spent his final months alone in the house.
Then suddenly, his lawyer Miles Thorne receives a letter sent on Edgar Ashwood’s behalf — one year after his death. He ended his life in Ashwood Manor without giving specific reasons, and asks his legal representative to burn down the villa. But the house is valuable. Set it on fire? Never! Thorne sets out in search of answers. Equipped with the key to the old gate of Ashwood Manor, a flashlight, and plenty of courage, he begins his journey to uncover the secrets of the house.
