Squad is an outstanding game that deserves to stand out in the team shooter genre. With realistic gameplay and meticulous attention to detail, it offers an intense and rewarding combat experience. The maps are vast and well designed, allowing for tactical strategies and cooperation between players. Additionally, communication is key to success, which encourages strong team building. Graphically impressive and with immersive sound, Squad manages to immerse you in the action and keep you captivated in every game. Without a doubt, it is a gem for lovers of war games.

The game sells itself as a mix between a military simulator and a strategic fps. You can really see lots of similiarties with other simlulators, but they dumb it down in a way to keep the game playable for the non-hardcore sim players. You still get tired after sprinting, but you don't need to worry about food/water. You still get injured and need healing, aim down sights are realistic, and the accuracy jumps around quite a bit on automatic-mode. There is bullet time and drop, where the only way to measure distance is by playing the game a lot and getting used to it. Throwing grenades is not accurate, and I've gotten hurt by nades bouncing off doorframe after I throw them from an acute angle. The graphics are okay. It looks like most of the coding was spent on the physics and the realism of the game. You can still see body parts going through the wall sometimes, but shooting it won't do anything but give your position away. As the name suggests, you actually need to be with a squad to earn points. Your score (if you care about that) decreases if you try to solo it, and there is no Rambo style gun play. It is pretty fun, most of the people playing in your squad or team will talk, and will heal you if you shot down. There is a long period (over 200 seconds) after you get "downed", and you just wait to see if your mates can heal you. If you respawn, you just use one ticket from your team. Basically whichever team loses their tickets (goes to 0) first will lose the skirmish. There are other modes to like capture the point, etc. The tactical map is interesting, and it is really fun when you have commanders who actually give good orders and mark the tactical map strategically.
