The Legend Of Zelda Brick By Brick

After the forthcoming series of LEGO Fortnite sets, we have more exciting news for the fans of bricks and games. On 1 September 2024 The Legend Of Zelda is going to get its official LEGO 18+ diorama set number 77092 – called Zelda: The Great Deku Tree. The set is expected to have 2 500 pieces, including four exclusive minifigures of Zelda and Links based on The Breath Of The Wild game, plus new LEGO molds of shield and ocarina, created especially for this release. In addition to that, the box is going to contain extra pieces, so you can swap the leaves of the tree from green to pink (or the other way round) depending on the Zelda game you want to refer to with your build. The price of this set is estimated to be $300 or £260.

Another LEGO Icon

The Legend Of Zelda is without a doubt an iconic game series, and thus it should come as no surprise that the buildable set Zelda: The Great Deku Tree (77092) is planned to be released as a part of the LEGO Icons theme. So far the theme has already delivered sets like: The Lord Of The Rings: Rivendell (10316), PAC-MAN Arcade (10323), DUNE Atreides Royal Ornithopter (10327), Back To The Future Time Machine (10300), Ghostbusters ECTO-1 (10274), Transformers’ Optimus Prime (10302) and even Atari 2600 (10306), among others.

Zelda – The Legend

Zelda was born in 1986 as a creation of two Japanese game designers Shigeru Miyamoto and Takashi Tezuka. She is a magical princess, a descendant of the goddess Hylia, who along with elf-esque creatures (incarnations of Link) protects their homeworld of Hyrule from an evil Ganon. The game was developed and published by Nintendo; today there are around 30 games in the franchise, released for different Nintendo platforms.

The late American movie star Robin Williams (whose films you can find on Netflix) was one of the greatest fans of Zelda in the world – he even gave that name to his only daughter.

After the LEGO diorama, the next Zelda project may be a film production. Allegedly Nintendo was encouraged by the success of The Super Mario Bros. Movie in 2023, and started collaborating with Sony Pictures in order to put another one of their iconic assets on the big screen.
