The gameplay and graphics are very nice. Sometimes it gives the impression of being a bit forced in the commands, but overall the interactions are dynamic and do not tire the player. The storyline is very gripping, you can't put it down.

I opted to play this in sequential order. The plot is a confusing mess otherwise. Anyway the game peaks between 1/3rd to 1/2 the way through. Jodie may not always be a believable character but you can do fun things exploring the World as her. This begins to fall apart later in the game as things get ridiculous even within the context of the kind of teen to young woman superhero story this is. If you played Farenheit by David Cage you know how he likes to change genres half way through and doesn't care about the break in tone. Beyond Two Souls has this problem. It's not hilariously ott like it is in Farenheit but expect it. Controls are decent with an Xbox controller on Pc. Once you get the hang of the control scheme it's just plenty of repetition not too many confusing QTE's. Graphics are pretty decent some areas actually still look impressive due to the choice of fixed camera panning cinematically. Jodie's character model looks fantastic and enough attention is paid to most of the animations. Jumping over logs still looks dumb but it's a David Cage game that's par for the course. Technically ran well but randomly started chugging as in random frame drops when something loads some areas mid way through and I have a pc with parts that can run games from 2020 and 2021 at 60fps on high so I don't know what the fault is there. Probably not optimised consistently. Which is a shame because it's a good looking game in some places. Anyway definitely worth it for a sale price. Just don't feel bad if you really enjoy a few hours and then find yourself going from that to wtf when the story gets wierd.
