Includes 2 items: XCOM: Enemy Unknown + The Bureau: XCOM Declassified

XCOM: Enemy Unknown will place you in control of a secret paramilitary organization called XCOM. As the XCOM commander, you will defend against a terrifying global alien invasion by managing resources, advancing technologies, and overseeing combat strategies and individual unit tactics.

The original XCOM is widely regarded as one of the best games ever made and has now been re-imagined by the strategy experts at Firaxis Games. XCOM: Enemy Unknown will expand on that legacy with an entirely new invasion story, enemies and technologies to fight aliens and defend Earth.

You will control the fate of the human race through researching alien technologies, creating and managing a fully operational base, planning combat missions and controlling soldier movement in battle.

The Bureau: XCOM Declassified

The year is 1962 and the Cold War has the nation gripped by fear.  A top-secret government unit called The Bureau begins investigating a series of mysterious attacks by an enemy more powerful than communism.  As agent Carter, call the shots, pull the trigger and lead your squad in a gripping third-person tactical shooter set within a covert war to protect humanity from an otherworldly enemy.

Features

Strategy Evolved: XCOM: Enemy Unknown couples tactical turn-based gameplay with incredible action sequences and on-the-ground combat.

Strategic Base: Recruit, customize and grow unique soldiers and manage your personnel. Detect and intercept the alien threat as you build and expand your XCOM headquarters.

Tactical Combat: Direct soldier squads in turn-based ground battles and deploy air units such as the Interceptor and Skyranger.

Worldwide Threat: Combat spans the globe as the XCOM team engages in over 70 unique missions, interacting and negotiating with governments around the world.

Better than XCOM 2 and you get two games. EU is much closer to the original game, so it's quite a bit more granular at the planning level than XC2. The fighters and air combat, which have been removed in XC2, are a good sized part of this game just like the original. This game is also, graphically, very close to the later XCOM, being released only a couple of years ahead of that program. Shen's father is in this one, working in weapon manufacturing. Story is very good. If you like training and raising top level XCOMS this is a great way to do it. In the end, you get excellent graphics which rival the later XCOM 2 and also what is on the balance a firmly better gameplay experience than XC2.

A very solid turn-based strategy game. A no-brainer at this discounted price. Currently replaying it after many years. Also check out free mods like the long war.

One of the best turn-based games I've played recently. The perfect heir to UFOs: Enemy Unknown, the player becomes eager to play the next parts
