Odyssey immediately had me worried on boot up, I had really bad aliasing on every surface and it looked substantially worse than Horizons, finally figured out it was FSR automatically turned on and set to performance mode but showing in settings as "off". After turning it "on" and off again the game ran and looked great on a 4090. Without a high end card this DLC still suffers from pretty poor optimization but with some tweaking you can get it running well.. While the dlc is worth the price of a key and a lot of launch problems have been taken care of, the game is still chunky and requires a halfway decent system to run above medium 1080p 60fps.

After almost 500 hours on ED's steam I throw myself on this new adventure. More than profitable investment. Satisfying environments and infinite playability, many of the problems encountered at launch solved, the vote on steam does not reflect reality.

This is DLC so you must have the base game for this to work. I bought the base game a few years ago and it's on Frontier shop. I had issues to associate this with Steam however quite helpful was the message how to do it and link to that. I have done that and now my game is completely on Steam. Which i am really happy cause I do not want to use too many game platforms to play. The product works fine and everything was on my account in seconds (the digital game key). I recommend this game for astro-fans and cosmic simulator fans (it''s quite realistic - you move in Milky Way galaxy with real star distances!). I love it. Thank you.

This game, when played in VR, is downright breathtaking. Easily the best VR experience I've ever had; it's my new escape from this terrible planet we live on. With 400 billion systems in the (procedurally) accurately-rendered galaxy, you could literally spend a lifetime in this game and not see 0.1% of our Milky Way. Don't fear the learning curve, or lack of linear campaign; instead, embrace the fact that the game simply gives you a spaceship and tells you to have fun.
