New CoD - First Rumors

What do we know about the next Call of Duty? Not much, but we know that this year CoD is going to be developed by Sledgehammer Games. They are now looking for employees and that could give us a clue what we can expect from their new game.

Right after Activision had announced Sledgehammer Games for the next CoD game, they promised that this game would finally bring us something new and more "next-gen" than Ghosts.

It looks like developers actually plan something big and they need more manpower. The job listings appeared on Gamasutra, where they listed an interesting position for a temporary VFX Artist.

It reads: “The candidates will have the opportunity to contribute in various areas of in-game effects including but not excluding weaponry effects, vehicle destruction, large-scaled rigid body simulations and environmental effects such as fire, smoke, water, and weather system.

It bears noting that previous games did not offer a ‘weather system’, though they did feature weather. There were exploding vehicles, but those effects were entirely pre-scripted. Now it may change.

What do you think? Do you think that new studio will bring some fresh air to most loved FPS series?
