Hotline Miami 2 Teaser Trailer!

Today Dennaton games released a teaser trailer for their sequel to the indie hit Hotline Miami. Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number.

Bucking the trend of their first game there is lots of blood to be seen and lots of neon soaked rooms to be witnessed. Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number is set in the 90’s and follows an ever escalating level of violence due to multiple factions that were conceived as a direct result of the first game. Unlike the first game you take control of several characters each with their own motives and signature execution styles.

The game seems to taking a route similar to the film Pulp Fiction which in my eyes is a good thing, the overlapping stories and gameplay mix ups will create an even more enthralling experience than the first game did. To me the mixture of Hotline Miami and Pulp Fiction is dream come true as they are both my favourite game and movie. They also both have iconic soundtracks. Hotline Miami won numerous awards for its sound design and rightly so, the music really pumped you up and just fitted the aesthetics perfectly. I honestly find it hard to describe my hype for a game that seems so perfectly tailored to my own preferences.

If you haven’t played Hotline Miami yet I would HIGHLY recommend you do for some fast paced, adrenaline riddled shoot em’ up action (and obviously the absolutely amazing soundtrack) and in my opinion the finest game ever created. Sadly a release date isn’t confirmed but they are aiming to have it out by the end of this year. Until then I can only don my chicken mask and wait menacingly in my chair.
